Changes to Cuban Policy
The Trump administration is tightening restrictions on travel, trade, and remittances to Cuba. The new changes are as follows:
- Vessels and aircrafts initially authorized to fly to Cuba on temporary sojourn will no longer be able to.
- OFAC is placing a cap of $1,000, the maximum amount that one remitter can send per quarter to one Cuban national as a family remittance.
- Leasing commercial aircrafts to Cuban State-owned airlines has been restricted.
- A ban on flights to nine Cuban cities has been implemented.
